As proof of Budgen Motors ever growing status, 50 Bipper vans were supplied to Link Central as part of an overall order of nearly 200. These vehicles are then supplied on a hire contract to an end user.

We have teamed up with two local Sixth Form/Colleges to create a Budgen Motors Viral Video.
During the months of September and October we had various meetings with a combination of Film and Media studies students from Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and from Shrewsbury College Of Arts And Technology. Their aim was to create a Viral Video that would reach 100,000 hits on YouTube, by using all of their knowledge, imagination and creative skills.
We have recentley collected the Storyboards for their videos and the ideas are fantastic!
The students from both colleges will be competing against each other in order to win prizes for themselves and their respective colleges. The videos are set to be complete and live throughout January, so look out for them on our YouTube channel!

Due to the success of the Service Booking Desk in its first few weeks, We have decided to keep it running until March!
The Service Booking Desk is located in the Darwin Shopping Centre in Shrewsbury and has proved to be a hit with customers. Customers are able to book their vehicle in for its next M.O.T or Service on the day, with special introductory offers and lots of free goodies!

October 8th – October 11th Rob Morgan, our Digital Marketing Manager took part in a 2,500 mile charity rally from the UK to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Italy. The purpose of the event was to raise money for BEN – The Automotive Charity for people who work or who have worked in the automotive industry.
The basis of the charity rally was to drive from the UK to Italy in a car costing no more than £500.00! At the end of the charity, all cars are sold at auction with all the funds going to BEN. With over 30 cars taking part, and many worth more than £500 you can see how much the event could raise. The auction of the cars is taking place on 2nd November.
Rob based at our Featherbed Lane site, and Chris, Assistant Sales Manager for Aston Barclay entered the event in a 170,000 mile Alfa Romeo 147 worth £400 with an amazing paint job! Both Rob and Chris, who went in fancy dress as the Mario Brothers reported the car went without a problem!
Rob said “It is amazing to take part in such a worthwhile event, there was a really good sense of adventure and sense of pride with all drivers and co-drivers. I love driving, and so doing the rally and raising money at the same time is a double bonus”
During the rally Rob and Chris, often followed or were followed by other teams drove through France, over the Alps, into Switzerland, across Italy before taking a tour of the Ferrari Museum. Only two cars broke down – both were Volvos. Although thanks to the AA they were on their way eventually.

The Peugeot 3008 Promotional bus arrived at Budgen Motors Peugeot today to promote the 3008, and the fact that Peugeot are offering a once in a lifetime chance of winning a space flight.
The marketing buzz words for this unique campaign are “with all this technology you would expect it to fly” which without being too biased is true! It does have a huge amount of technology, although in no way can it fly!!
The “3008 Bus” has been traveling around Shrewsbury inviting people on board for free sweets and chocolates! So if you see this bus today (Tuesday 19th July) jump on-board and grap some free chocolates!

Okay, one thing we are really hot on here at Budgen Motors is making sure all customers have a great test drive experience – we actually try and call them demo drives, but most of you know them as test drives – so that is what we will use! We think far too many car dealers have test drive routes which are either far too short, or do not cover a wide enough range of roads!
We have taken some time to make a great test drive route which is relaxed, yet exciting and gives you time to review your potential new car on a range of roads. Of course, if you want to drive somewhere off route, such as around the town, this is fine!
